April Highlights

I've had a couple of requests to do ongoing updates to my blog so I thought I'd at least attempt monthly updates!

In April I attended a class at a local college. The class was entitled "Career Transitions" and was geared to help me decide what to do when I grow up. It consisted of a series of "tests" and resources to explore career opportunities. The tests included a personality profile, career assessment/interest inventory, and vocational aptitude tests. The results ... it's a toss up ... pursue something in the non-profit side of business, go back to school to study medical technology, or become a sister in a Roman Catholic church! I guess I have some more homework to do!

The last few days of the month were spent visiting my roommate from the DR. She (Zainab) lives in Dallas, TX. We had a fun visit exploring the DFW area. Her friend, Ajay, joined us for much of the visit. We squeezed in quite a bit over the weekend: Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Garden, Modern Dance, Sixth Floor Museum (where Oswald assassinated JFK), and the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed great meals and I couldn't have asked for better company!
